The architect’s own home. Inspired by but not imitative of past modernist movements, Radziner’s accomplishment here may well be the standard by which a new era of architecture is judged. The architecture seems defined by space rather than structure. It’s just that the edifice is so fully resolved, and finely crafted it seems secondary to this grand space for living well. The triumph here is the sense of freedom conveyed by space and relationship to exterior created within the confines of a conventional Venice lot. Ground level living areas open to the entry/dining breezeway with welcoming alfresco fireplace, office/family room opens to the private pool. The Master suite and two additional bedrooms and bath are on the upper level. Direct access is provided from the attached 2-car garage.
