Constructed with a nautical theme, the design reflects a warm approach brought to the moderne style following the war. Mahogany paneling highlights the rich details of the “top deck” public areas with living room, dining area, custom kitchen, view terrace and original his/her baths. Lower decks are accessed through curved plaster stairwells and magnesite stairs. The “middle deck” includes 3 bedrooms and full bath. The “lower deck” originally serving as the recreation level with shuffleboard court, now houses a full apartment with kitchen, bedroom, bath and oversized living room with fireplace. The effect from the site is like a luxury liner docked high above Los Angeles with 180-degree City views looking West down Hollywood Boulevard to the Pacific Ocean.
