Way back in the early 1900s, doctor-turned-faith healer Finis E. Yoakum was gifted this residential showpiece by the dedicated followers of the Pisgah Home Movement he founded in 1895 to provide down-on-their-luck folks with food, clothing and shelter. Last sold in 1993 for a mere $425,000, and located in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, the place has remained in the same family for some 30-plus years. Along the way, the horror movies Lights Out and Ouija were filmed there, and the dwelling also was designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument; and now the historic gem is on the market, asking a smidge under $3.7 million.
